Project Hope

Practices are beginning and new jersey’s are arriving as all of OEFC gears up for the fall soccer season. This is a wonderful time & opportunity to donate your old OFC jerseys (shorts, socks, goalkeeper attire also) to a worthwhile cause. OEFC is excited to be partnering with Project Hope Worldwide to provide joy to orphans in Uganda, Africa by donating our used soccer jerseys. Project Hope Worldwide is a nonprofit organization based out of Tulsa, OK. The commitment of Project Hope Worldwide is “to care for, provide refuge, and restore hope to the most vulnerable children in the world in Jesus’ name”. They serve in Uganda, Mexico, Nicaragua and the United States.

You can find more information at projecthopeworldwide.org about their continuing mission.

Our hope, as an OEFC family, is to gather used soccer jerseys, donate them to Project Hope Worldwide and then, they will personally deliver them to the children in their Calo Me Lare orphanage in Lira, Uganda. Soccer (futbol) is loved by the Ugandan children and jerseys are highly coveted and bring much happiness!

Jersey (plus shorts, socks, goalie attire) donations will be accepted at ESC from 4:30-7:30pm on Mondays & Thursdays, August 7-17. OR at NOKC from 5:30-8:30pm on Mondays & Thursdays, August 7-17. Donation boxes will be marked with “Project Hope Worldwide” and will be located by each of the ESC west side concession stands or by the NOKC concession stand. If none of those times are convenient, our final collection time will be August 18-20 at Beat the Heat. Look for boxes marked “Project Hope Worldwide” to be set up near each of the concession stands.
